The last time I posted a journal on dA was nearly a year ago. September 2011. A lot has happened since then that has kept me away, and I'd like to address those things one by one.



Mom status: The last time I checked in, I let everyone know that my mom was in the hospital with a potentially permanently paralyzing condition called Guillain–Barré syndrome. I am happy to say that  they caught it early on, and after treatment and rehabilitation, she's recovered completely. Thank you for all of your well wishes and thoughts in a time that was really stressful for all of us!

Last month she ran her half-first marathon to raise money for the hospital, a charity that is now near and dear to her heart. She's come so far in the past year--from being bed-ridden to being barely able to walk to training and running every day to work up to the half-marathon she was training for when GBS struck. I couldn't be more proud.



Wedding Status: Right before I went off the dA grid, I was talking about being a last minute addition to ~lacuna-purify and ~kiljax's wedding. Everything went off without a hitch, and they have since bought a big fancy house and are doing really well. Their first anniversary will be in October this year!

I've also been to two other weddings this past month--first for my brother-in-law Justin and (his now wife) Shannon, and the second for awesome friends ~whit-whit and ~PH474! Congrats guys, again! My sister also has a wedding coming up the first weekend in September, so this summer has been insanely busy. D:



And, the biggest thing that's been keeping me away:

I am totally having a baby. I'm due in 5 weeks and 4 days as of posting this.

So, it was my intention to make it back to dA after all of the excitement and last minute stuff of Alli and Jim's wedding calmed down. I took a  few weeks off from posting, and then around the bottom half of November we found out that we were expecting. We had an exciting few weeks where I didn't get a lot done and I was feeling great, and then, after my first doctor's appointment, morning sickness hit me really hard.

I was pretty much stuck in bed for the better part of three and a half months, and when I started to feel better, my number one priority was making sure that The End was still updating. dA kind of fell to the wayside, and only now are things starting to calm down (more like calm before the storm--just in time for our little girl to arrive and make things crazy again).



Anyhow, I'm currently preparing the first two part of The End for print, which involves remastering all of the old pages, fixing textures, mistakes, word balloons and text. I apologize about the massive pile of updates from me today, but I promise it won't be that bad in the future.

I've just uploaded chapter 1-4. remastered, into my gallery, and from here on out it'll be one chapter at a time going up until we catch up with  actual updates, and after then, only when there are new pages.

I should have another journal up sometime this week addressing and resolving the contest, as well as the weird zombie state the group is currently existing in.  All for now!
